The wrong employees, ineffeicent systems, and lack of accountability costs your company a lot of extra time and money. Not tracking the right metrics or having inefficient systems in place costs your company a lot of wasted time and money. You need an experienced operations manager, but the cost of hiring someone with the knowledge, expertise, and is more than your company can afford.
Solution
The solution is having a head of operations who has experience building successful companies without costing you the salary of a full-time executive. A fractional or part time COO is what your company needs. Someone who can help with strategic planning and problem solving that go along with managing the operations of a successful company. The COO's job is to micro-manage all the details. The owner's job is the "big picture". The COO takes the owner's ideas, and implements them happen. It's the COO's job to determine and implement the specifics needed in order to carry out the CEO's plans. My job is to find the most pressing things that the company is lacking, and to put systems into place that allow the company to grow.

As a start-up or growing business, it's an expense that seems out of reach for the moment... but it doesn't have to be. Every company issue can be managed remotely. I develop and maintain internal control systems to create accountability. My experience in the start-up world has enabled me to hone a skill set that has been proven to take businesses to the next level.
